Growing ornamental plants and flowers on the balconies of houses and apartments is a common habit.
It can be a real antidepressant remedy, an antidote to the wear and tear of modern life especially for those who live in the chaos of the city.
A well-furnished balcony has a unique charm that often leads it to be one of the most beautiful spaces in the whole house.
A balcony garden can be as complicated or simple as you want.
You can spend thousands of dollars or you can make one for very little money.
With plant and container choices, you can either make a relatively low maintenance, easy balcony garden or you can do a full-on farm. It depends on your space, light and exposure, and the amount of time, energy and/or money you want to spend.
Even if your space is microscopic, you can still garden. Fire escapes and windowsills can easily become productive green spaces. It helps to think of your space three-dimensionally.
Are there vertical spaces you can plant or hang planters on? Even if there aren't, you can do amazing things to create some vertical space. From piling up pots to creating trellises, there are ways to use all of your space.
At first glance, a balcony garden doesn’t seem to be any different than a container garden.
You have a small outdoor surface and a few potted plants to let everyone know that this is where your home meets the natural world, and transform a space for a couple of potted plants into your urban paradise.
Don't forget to pay attention to your balcony garden design: the trick of beautiful design is to create enough diversity to be interesting without looking cluttered or chaotic.
Choose one or two colors and keep all of your flowers in that color family. You can go for a hot color scheme of red and yellow, a cool scheme of purple and white, or contrasting colors such as blue and orange.
Include hanging baskets for vertical accents. In this small space, bypass the cheap plastic hanging baskets and plain brackets and instead invest in ornate pieces that compliment the architecture of your building.
I love gardening but I make it with style, wearing a lace shirt and a pair of sequined shorts, without forgetting my useful gardening allies: a pair of gloves and my Hunter rubber boots.

  23. What a magical corner in your home full of flowers, I have no garden, my house is very small, but I grow succulents in pots, the truth relaxes me a lot, if I had more space I would be encouraged by the aromatic herbs. Kisses and happy weekend!
